Basic Mandarin Chinese Course Free
The Office of International Affairs is pleased to offer a free Basic Mandarin Chinese Course starting from March 1 to 14 June. This course is designed especially for beginners but is also great for foreign students of all levels.
In this 30-hour course, you will receive systematic training in four aspects: listening, speaking, reading and writing, which can help you improve your day-to-day conversation skills and achieve your Chinese learning goals step by step.
The instructor will provide teachings according to each individual’s needs and lots of opportunities for practice. Students who do not have previous (or have little) Mandarin Chinese background are highly encouraged to enroll in this course.
TIME: March 1 – June 14, 2016, every Tuesday, 6:40pm-8:40pm
VENUE: Room 904, Teaching and Research Building
INSTRUCTOR: Dr. Yee-Chia Hu, Ed.D in Bilingual Education, Texas A&M University
OBJECTIVES:
After the completion of this course, the student will:
1. Understand and respond to topics about basic survival and social needs.
2. Provide and obtain information on topics such as personal information, family, time, shopping, getting meals, etc.
3. Demonstrate knowledge on Chinese customs and culture.

CERTIFICATE:
Those who complete at least 24 hours (80% attendance or more) will earn a Certificate of Completion issued by the Office of International Affairs, NTUA.
