The Office of International Affairs is pleased to organize a free Basic Chinese Course which is designed especially for beginners but is also great for foreign students of all levels. Students with no previous (or little) Chinese background are highly encouraged to enroll in this course.

In this 24-hour course, you will receive systematic training in four aspects: listening, speaking, reading and writing, which can help you improve your day-to-day conversation skills and achieve your Chinese learning goals step by step.

• Time: October 6 to December 22, 2022, every Thursday, 6:00pm-8:00pm
• Instructor: Tang-Hsin Hung, Graduate Institute of Curriculum and Instruction, National Taipei University of Education
• Objectives: After the completion of this course, the student will:

1. Understand and respond to topics about basic survival and social needs,
2. Provide and obtain information on topics such as personal information, family, time, shopping, getting meals, etc.,
3. Demonstrate knowledge of Chinese customs and culture.

• Certificate: Those who complete at least 20 hours (about 80% attendance) will earn a Certificate of Completion issued by the Office of International Affairs, NTUA.
